Vote for Town Supervisors |
I am seeking your vote April 3rd for the position of Spring Green Town Board
Chairman. It is my desire to protect the health, safety, welfare and the quality
of life of this Township.
Sami, my wife of 12 years, and I relocated from New York here in 2002 and own
our log cabin home on Highway 60 in the Township.
I was born, raised and educated in Wisconsin. I have an Electrical Engineering
Degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee.
My 35-year business career offered the opportunity to travel and live in many
parts of America and the world. We returned to Wisconsin to enjoy the beauty of
the State and the rural atmosphere of the Lower Wisconsin Riverway.
I have owned and operated my own business, Asian Engineering, LLC, for the past
12 years. The company is a consultant and electrical equipment exporter of
American and European manufactured materials.
As a current Board Member of the Private Landowners of Wisconsin (PLOW) and a
member of the Friends of the Wisconsin River (FLOW), I understand the needs to
protect the quality of life in the River Valley for future generations and
today’s residents.
My leading involvement with The River Valley Concerned Citizens, in opposition
to the proposed Kraemer Highway 60 Sand Pit, revealed the need for new and
innovative community involvement with local issues.
I also recognize the urgent need for strong resident orientated leadership for
our Township. I seek to provide that leadership as your Town Board Chairman.
The River Valley Concerned Citizens (RVCC) represents families and individuals
who are residents of the Town and Village of Spring Green.
My goal is to further the efforts of the RVCC to work with the State, County,
local officials and community interest groups to protect our community’s quality
of life.
Based on the concerns of the River Valley Concerned Citizens, I will work to
make sure the Town Board:
1. Fully complies with the Town Comprehensive Plan.
2. Maintains and improves the community’s quality of life.
3. Enhances the comfort, safety, health, prosperity, aesthetics and general
welfare of the community
4. Provides for orderly township development.
5. Protects the town’s natural resources and agricultural lands.
6. Enhances tourism
7. Maintains property values
8. Preserves agriculture
9. Improves communications
10. Respects Property Owners Rights
As Town Board Chairman, I’ll use my attention to detail and organizational
skills to help us reach these goals and protect our quality of life in the
Spring Green Township
I seek your assistance to vote and encourage others to vote for Mike Birr for
Town Board Chairman on Tuesday, April 3 in the Spring Green Town Hall.
We will make a difference!
Mike Birr
