July 2007 - The female cicada makes slits in the young tree branches, and deposits her eggs within them. Within 3-4 weeks they will hatch the size of a rice grain. The tiny nymphs will fall to the ground and burrow into the ground. Next appearance will be in 2024!
Fact: Brontophobia is the fear of thunderstorms.
