July 2004 - It is told that many years ago, the previous owner of our land caught Timber Rattlesnakes here for their venom, and hauled them to a snake farm in Baraboo. These four rattlers were photographed on a nearby neighbor's land. I haven't run across any on our land as of yet. They like to live on the open bluffs of southwestern and western Wisconsin. * Protected Wild Animal *
The most I can do for my friend is simply to be his friend.
