            The next Lower Wisconsin River Road Scenic Byways Advisory Committee meeting will be held in Boscobel on Wednesday, July 16, 2008.  The meeting will take place at the Central House (Boscobel Hotel), 1005 Wisconsin Ave., in downtown Boscobel.  The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. and adjourn by 4:00 p.m.  Those wishing to have lunch at noon should contact the Riverway Board office to make a reservation by July 14th.  Call (608) 739-3188 or 1-800-221-3792 or respond by e-mail at marsha.nachtigal@wisconsin.gov.  Special thanks to Laura Steele of the Boscobel Chamber of Commerce for helping organize this meeting.

 

            The purpose of the meeting will be to finalize the vision statement for the project as part of the application to be submitted to the Department of Transportation and to discuss a marketing strategy for the corridor.  Steering Committee membership will be discussed as well.  Anyone with an interest in designation of the route along STH 60 from Lodi to Prairie du Chien as a Wisconsin Scenic Byway is encouraged to attend.
